Christmas windows are a holiday tradition in most US cities. What is the holiday season in New York City without checking out the many beautiful Christmas store windows. And we would be remise if we didn’t publish this around the Christmas holiday.
The windows at Macy’s and Lord & Taylor, were okay, but not particularly engaging.
The real fun came as we moved uptown. Bergdorf Goodman windows were colorful, unique and engaging. The theme was “To New York with Love”.
Then we got to Barney’s, whose windows were designed in partnership with Hass Brothers design studio. Playful, creative and almost surreal, these animated window displays are intended to represent four phases of time, from the primordial through a vision of the future. You have to see these windows to believe them. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next year.
